ABOUT

Hey y'all. I've been doing this professionally for about 9 years now. My main focus as an engineer is to accommodate all the needs of the artist(s) in order to obtain the vision they have for their music, band, piece, whatever it may be. A lot of my practices are transparent and I encourage a healthy amount of dialogue centered around what the goals and objectives are for the session and the record as a whole. Ideally, you have a concept of what you want to achieve sonically and I conduct myself as a medium between you and the studio to arrive at an accurate representation of your music and your ideas.

Can we record live? Absolutely!

Can we track everything separately? Of course.

Can we punch in note by note and edit the drums to a grid? Sure, if that's what you really want.

The only time I will advise against an idea is if I have first hand experience at it being unsuccessful or yielding results that may differ from your expectations. Besides that, I'm up for whatever you'd like to try.

The greatest joy I know in recording is hearing that the record is exactly what the band had envisioned it would be, or better. This is what I strive for in every session.
